I’ve heard a bit about the author as being a good writer and I am sure she is, I just chose the wrong book I think.Besides the irritating main character, the drama felt very forced and the relationship between Nico and Sophia was artificial, with little chemistry. I found it rather unbelievable that Sophia, who is portrayed as a proud logical woman, will even consider taking Nico back who not only stalked her but also lied to her. It left me with a bit of a bad taste that is reminiscent of emotional abuse and manipulation and was not truly resolved by the author.I hoped the author would throw us an interesting plot surprise, but unfortunately the story went exactly as you think it will after reading the first chapter. It was in short boring and a bit of a drag to get through.But then this is just my opinion and like I said I am sure Kris Bryant is a great author and should not be judged by one piece of work. Kris Bryant has another scrumptious book on her hands. Nico is frustrated with finding the wrong women and has been burned in the past. She is slowly working her way towards finding another relationship. She watches Sophia from afar and takes weeks to get the courage to speak with her. Nico slowly builds a relationship but doesn't share all of herself. When Sophia finds out some of what Nico is hiding, she ends up leaving. Nico has her work cut out for her.The chemistry is amazing. The chocolates are yummy. The art is fantastic. This will be a favorite.
